Here are some interesting facts which show how farcical the global economy really is and how much real impact and control the few have over the many.
Did you know…
- That more than 1.2 billion people in the world live on less that $1 a day. More than 50% of them are children. Nearly 1 billion cannot meet their basic consumption requirements.
- The 3 RICHEST PEOPLE in the world own assets that exceed the combined gross national product of ALL the LEAST DEVELOPED COUNTRIES and their 600 million people.
More interesting facts…
Here are some more figures which sum up the world in which we really live. The following figures are for one year only.
- Basic education for all would cost $6 BILLION
- Installation of water and sanitation for all would cost $9 BILLION
- Reproductive health services for all women would cost $12 BILLION
- Basic health care and nutrition would cost $13 BILLION
That’s $40 Billion in total to right the world’s wrongs. Now for how we actually spend our money.
- $8 BILLION is spent annually for cosmetics in the United States alone
- $11 BILLION is spent annually on ice cream in Europe
- $12 BILLION a year is spent on perfumes in Europe and the U.S
- $17 BILLION a year is spent on pet food in Europe and the U.S
- $35 BILLION is spent on business entertainment in Japan
- $50 BILLION on cigarettes in Europe
- $105 BILLION on alcoholic drinks in Europe
- $400 BILLION on narcotic drugs around the world
And finally, in ONE year alone $780 BILLION is spent on firearms and munitions (explosives).
The cost of the Iraq War currently stands at over $600 billion, not to mention the countless lives lost. And for what… Greed, power and control for the selective ‘few’. You know who you are. Shame on you. Shame on you for being human, if that’s what you claim you are!

Look at all that money that could of been spent on the poor, going green, fixing the economy all over the world. All the lives that were lost and for NO GOOD reason. He is not human, he is a criminal! Too bad the impeachment proceedings are going so slow!

Impeachment, wishful thinking there Linda. I reckon hell will freeze over before Bush is brought to justice.
The police state beckons.
I guess it all ties in with 9/11 and the NWO agenda
Was 9/11 a cover up by the Bush administration? You decide…

What scary facts – I think more poeple should know about this and should really think hard before spending needlessly. I am involved in charity work and am quite astonished at how many people I approach have never donated to anything before – quite shocking.

Hi Joanna
They certainly are scary figures. More is spent on dog food than giving everyone on this planet access to clean drinking water. Over two thirds of our planet is water for heavens’ sake.
It just doesn’t tally up. The whole system smells rotten, something is amiss.
Less hating more loving I say.

While it’s important to look at the facts, it’s also important to come up with solutions. How can we take what we have to give others the same opportunity? How can we start thinking about the world in terms of ‘us’ instead of ‘I’?

Hi SteamboatEcobroker
An excellent point you made there. I guess the solution comes in two guises. Firstly we must change our mindsets and not feel the need to be better, richer than our neighbour (bigger house, car and all that).
And secondly, we become more altruistic. With the spread of love, such a meme can gain a lot of momentum and if enough people ‘believe’ and stop being sheeple then changes will occur.
I foolishly believe that we can live in a Star Trek no money economy. Too many people on the planet to accomplish this though, maybe a culling is needed. Maybe this is what the New World Order has in store for us.
The barcode society beckons.

Great post my friend! Amazing statistics, blows my mind that we live in a culture that spends that kind of money on cosmetics and munitions! Is it any wonder why we’re where we are at?!?
I personally love the idea of bartering, I am fortunate to live in a great little neighborhood community, where everyone has gardens. We barter with one another for different foodstuffs etc…
I foolishly agree that it is possible to live in societies that don’t use money, but unfortunately, you’re correct……way too many people on the planet already engulfed in greed around money. When I look around me, I see way too many SHEEPLE!

Hi Kim
The stats certainly are scary. What is most disturbing is the fact that society really doesn’t care. As long as people have there own safety net, then all else is inconsequential.
Your neighbourhood community sounds fantastic. There are too many chavs where I live for something like that to work.
A Star Trek economy will reign. I almost agree with the Illuminati, regarding culling 6 billion people. Only then can a moneyless society prosper.
The sheeple need awakening, before it’s too late. Are you a blue pill or a red pill person?

It’s all about income distribution that we are talking here. Sometimes this world is full of inequality and those people who actually made it to the top took full advantage of this. If only wealth can be shared by all.

I couldn’t agree more, many find the concept; even distribution of wealth too incredulous. There are so many people in this world who are never given the chance or opportunity to shine and to show their true abilities The only limitation is lack of monies.
Social Darwinism has crossed over into the corporate world. The message of survival of the fittest, eat or be eaten has gone too far. Just because someone is less fortunate than another, and ultimately has less money does NOT mean they are inferior in being to the person donned with a fat wallet.
Why must we let money be the judge, jury and executioner when it comes to judging people. The USA are the perfect example of corporate fascism gone too far.
Roll on 2012 is all I can say, changes need to be made, be it galactic forces or forces within ourselves.
Peace and love

I’m curious to find out what blog platform you have been using? I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest website and I would like to find something more safe. Do you have any suggestions?
