Free Energy Friday – The Baghdad Battery

Iraq may seem the central focus regarding the farcical ‘war on terror’ meme. However, Iraq happens to be one of the oldest cultures in the world. It is a place rich in heritage, the Garden of Eden and the Tower of Babel are said to have been sited in this ancient land. Not to mention ancient Mesopotamia (pre-Iraq) also gave us writing and the wheel.

There is however another quite remarkable device which dates back over 2,000 years; the Baghdad Battery. This device may have been used as a galvanic cell, perhaps used for electroplating objects and garnishing them with a gold or silver layer. The amazing part, if the battery was used for this purpose then it pre-dates Alessandro Volta’s 1800 invention of the electrochemical cell by more than a millennium.

Wilhelm Konig, the German archaeologist who discovered the Baghdad Battery in 1938 postulated that the discovery had to have been a battery. The strange fact of the matter is that during 200BC, in the Parthian era, the skilled warriors were not noted for their scientific achievements. Herein lies the question… How could ancient Persian science have grasped the principles of electricity and arrived at this knowledge?

Even though this artefact is known as the Baghdad Battery, no-one is sure what they were actually used for. Replicas of the battery can produce voltages from 0.8 to 2.0 volts. Similar in fact to the voltage produced if you were to stick a nail into the side of a tree.

Some suggested applications of the Baghdad battery include: -

Electroplating

- This suggestion seems to be the most popular, this is the process used to create the most evil invention of mankind; money.

Magic Rituals and Pranks

- The battery would be attached to a statue, when people came to worship their God/s, if they were to touch the statue they would receive a small electrical shock via the Baghdad battery.

Is this yet another ‘forgotten’ suppressed technology which has been brushed under the passage of time’s carpets!

Is it a Bird, Is it a Plane? No, it’s the new Com-Bat Solar Powered Spy Plane

As if we didn’t have enough to worry about, what with the Orwellian, fascist agenda just around the corner. The boffins at the University of Michigan have decided to introduce a new breed of surveillance care of the US Army. Welcome to the Com-Bat solar powered spy plane.

On a positive note.

The spy plane certainly has a lot to offer, measuring only six-inches in length, its beauty lies in the fact that it’s powered from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, vibration and other energy sources which help keep its battery juiced up.
Remarkably, it weighs only four ounces, and requires only 1Watt of power.
The Com-BAT design was modelled on a bat; it therefore hosts a low-powered miniaturized radar and on-board navigation system.
The bat-like spy plane will promote the development of quantum dot solar cells, which will eventually double the efficiency of current solar cell technologies.

With the help of this little ro-bat, perhaps we will start seeing some real viable solar energy technologies come to fruition and finally solar energy can earn its rightful place in the mainstream energy market.

Downsides of the Com-Bat Solar Powered Spy Plane.

The ro-bat spy plane, although cute looking, has a more sinister side to it. Doesn’t everything!

The purpose of the solar powered spy plane is to gather sight, sounds, and smells in urban combat zones. At a cost of only US$10 million, it looks like the US Army’s concept is a real bargain for the American taxpayer.

The bat would be designed to perform short-term surveillance in support of advancing soldiers. Or it could be perched at a street corner or building for longer assignments and send back reports of activity as it takes place.

Although, the com-bat solar powered spy plane has been primarily developed for war zone activities, one can only wonder when such a device will become commonplace in our streets and cities.

We are shifting to a barcode society at an alarming rate, with the advent of RFID chips, national ID cards, and a CCTV culture already upon us. So it shouldn’t come as a shock to us when we see such devices become a reality.

The spy plane will be just another police state technology which will be imposed on us, the little people in the not too distant future.

The Walking Solar House – Living on the Move

Here’s an interesting article I came across whilst on my internet travels. The new ‘Walking Solar House‘. The concept is to allow a person to live a peaceful nomadic life… on the move by means of actuated legs attached to the housing module. Energy is collected from a variety of platforms including; solar cells and small windmills. Other eco-systems included with the portable solar house include; rain water collection and solar heated hot water. A small greenhouse can also be added to the rear of the ‘house on legs’ module.

Further features of this new concept in ‘portable housing’ include; composting toilet system, a small wood burning stove, and six linear actuating legs which allow it to supposedly traverse most terrains.

Personal Points: – I find this concept beautiful, not just on the merits of it’s design, but also the ideology that we should all share, in this case the idea is that we share the land. To see such a house hobbling, meandering onto one’s front lawn and parking up for the night would be a halcyon dream for many people.

Perhaps private property in land has weakened as a system and does not work efficiently in densely populated, industrialized countries. It has become a cultural lag, and to an important extent it is already dysfunctional. Maybe the N55 walking house could be the answer to the corporate ‘power hungry’ society in which we all live.

On a plus note, the guys at N55 (Denmark), who developed the ‘walking house’ have some pretty nifty ideas when it comes to thinking about eco-living, self sustainability, and promoting a sense of power to the little people.

Amazing Green Ad – Award winning clouds commercial

The beauty of humanity and the diversity and rich culture in which we all live never ceases to amaze me. This video is a stroke of genius. Similar to the Sony Bravia advert with the millions of balls rolling down the hill and the most amazing, beautiful soundtrack I have heard in a long long time – Jose Gonzales – Heartbeats. This advert is on the same par if not better.

The boys at GE – General Electric have come up with a real humdinger advert. Elegant, beautiful and a must view. In a lot of cases the adverts on TV are typically a lot better than the content of the programmes they are filling out for. This advert is no exception.

GE claim that just as nature reuses water, GE water technology has turned billions of gallons of into clean water each year, rain or shine.

What are your thoughts about GE? Do you think they are doing their bit for the environment?

Sound waves used to levitate objects. Amazing acoustic levitation

On the subject of alternative energy, acoustic levitation has to be a viable candidate for the accolade of most amazing alternative technologies.

The video in question was filmed by Dr David Deak back in 1987. David was a former NASA employee. (Boo and hiss I hear you cry out) The purpose of the apparatus; to perform an experiment for ‘simulated’ microgravity conditions on Earth.

That being said, the applications for such a device go way beyond trying to understand micro-gravitational environments. The current maximum amount that can be lifted by acoustic levitation is a few kilograms – link.

Meditation and acoustic harmonization

The power of sound has been known for millennia, for example meditation is based on the principle of harmonizing oneself with the higher dimensional forces of the Universe. One effective method for reaching such a higher state of consciousness is the art of performing mantras, the OM Mantra (or AUM Mantra). More Mantra info

Mantras, music, and sound are nothing more than vibratory oscillating atoms which sing and dance in unison with one another on the Universe’s superluminal highway. These sound waves in turn create beautiful melodic pitches which singers seem to perform so effortlessly. Or conversely the incredible Adam Lopez who holds the Guinness world record for singing the highest recorded pitch. Link.

N.B. I practice Mongolian throat singing, this is my conduit to the heavens.

Perhaps the integration of acoustic levitation and Zero Point Energy (ZPE) would yield some rather interesting results, or maybe attach spinning neodymium magnets to a pyramid framework and then drive the acoustic device through the golden ratio – 1.618 centre of the pyramid would produce even more wonderful results.

Maybe we could harness the power of acoustic sound manipulation to ‘encourage’, enhance the Schumann resonance.

The resonance of the Earth (Schumann Resonance) has been 7.8Hz for thousands of years. Since 1980 it has risen to over 12Hz.

The Schumann resonance is an important electromagnetic standing wave, it acts as a background frequency for the Earth and also influences biological oscillators within the mammalian brain, ref delta, theta brain wave activity. These brain waves become active during deep states of relaxation and meditation.

The future…

If we all sang in unison then the world would change for the better, not just spiritually but also physically. Mother Earth would grow in strength from the solidarity of human voices singing and rejoicing from the love we have for one another and nature.

I doubt this will happen any time soon though, too much hate going on in the world – once the Morlocks have finished killing one another, then there will be a new dawning – the Golden Age; linked to Dec 21 2012. This will be the time to rejoice and sing, to have one voice of solidarity for mankind (what’s left of mankind that is).

I don’t think much needs to said about this exciting concept phone – the Nokia 888. Suffice to say it gives us a glimpse into tomorrow’s mobile phone technology. Who knows, perhaps three years from now we shall all be walking around with our mobile phones implanted into skulls, and we won’t require such peripherals.

The borg generation beckons.
