Ecology Building Society Set The Solar Standard For Lenders

Right now in the UK it’s easier than it’s ever been to get Solar Panels fitted to your home. The public can search for solar panel installation firms on-line just as easily as car or trailer tent insurance. Having said that it’s still not as easy as it should be. Lenders, valuers and local planning regulations continue to conspire against these plans. It’s time lenders started to follow in the Ecology’s footsteps and support these projects fully. It’s also time we legislate to stop lenders ad valuers discriminating against those who have taken action to improve their energy footprint.

Confusing Options For Consumers And Lenders

One of the key problems with fitting solar panels is that in the UK right now lenders are very cautious. They are primarily looking to lend on houses where a clear and simple valuation can be obtained. Issues that complicate this often lead to a decline. Phone any four or five of the main mortgage lenders and ask what their attitude to leased solar panels is and you’ll quickly understand the issue homeowners in the UK currently face – you will likely have heard four or five times that leased solar panels are not acceptable for mortgage purposes.

With many companies pushing leasing options fairly hard onto consumers and those options often working out as a quick way for consumers to benefit from solar panels – they deliver some energy savings and less cost than self-owning and installing panels – it’s easy to see why many would opt for these given a fair choice. Unfortunately lenders see complicated and varied contracts, often lasting for a long period of time, as a feature that would severely limit the resale value in the event they repossess and auction the property. Any new owner would face living up to the terms of the old lease or the lender would have to pay the costly termination fee to get out of the agreement and sell the property without encumbrance.

Legislation Might Be The Only Way

This issue is unlikely to be easily resolved entirely in the hands of private industry. Lenders have little interest in saving the World or reducing their customers’ power consumption (except for the marginal improvement in repayments they would receive from struggling customers if they had lower energy bills). Solar companies have little interest in the future mortgage deals available to their customers – once the panels are installed their profits are locked in for many years to come.

The only way to handle this would be to legislate for some standardised energy contract (perhaps backed by generous subsidy) allowing home owners to safely lease panels. The contracts would offer protection to the lender in the event of repossession (perhaps some insurance could cover this rare eventuality) and in turn protect the providers of the solar panel lease contract. Readers who wish to make an impact on this important issue should write to their MP, asking them to put lender attitudes towards solar panel leases on the agenda for homeowners.

Owning Your Own!

Luckily homeowners are not limited to simply leasing solar panels. The full benefits of energy saving can be achieved by buying and installing their own panels. If we consider that there are so many leasing options available simply because solar power is profitable then we can see the opportunity for homeowners; they can realise all of that profit themselves by covering the initial costs using finance from the Ecology and forgoing the need to share this profit with a leased panel company. More lenders need to not only support those who wish to take a lease on solar panels but they should also follow in the footsteps of the innovative and forward looking Ecology who fully support improving the energy efficiency of UK housing stock.

Remember it’s not just the individuals who make the savings directly who benefit from adding solar panels to our roofs, using solar chargers and panels outside instead of plugging in at home. Everybody in Britain will benefit from lower dependency on overseas energy, less pollution from our energy industry and in general lower energy costs as competition caused by surplus supply feeds through into prices. Free Energy Friday – Is There Really Such a Thing As Carbon Free-Energy?

So what is carbon-free energy. Let’s begin by explaining some common applications; wind turbines, wave energy, reservoirs, hydrogen fuel, solar farms, carbon-neutral energy carriers such as ethanol or bio-diesel, and even nuclear power. These are just some examples of carbon-free renewable energy. The purpose of all these methods is to combat the increase in greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our impact on the environment as a whole.

Coal plants are another candidate for the accolade of ‘carbon-free renewable energy’. However coal plants that sequester their carbon end up having the biggest carbon footprint, mostly because not all the carbon-dioxide gets captured before it enters the atmosphere. Nuclear power turns out to be the second-most carbon intensive.

There is a multitude of umbrella terms and pubic relations terms being used to promote the wonderful world of ‘carbon-free renewable energy’. One such umbrella term is ‘clean coal‘. Now if ever there was a funny oxymoron term, then ‘clean coal’ has to take the prize.

Other ridiculous oxymoron’s include; United Nations, virtual reality, clearly misunderstood, found missing, Microsoft works, and political promise to name but a few.

When…

‘Clean coal’ is a method which promotes the use of coal as an energy source by emphasizing methods being developed to reduce its environmental impact. The irony is that that there are currently no commercial-scale clean coal power stations (coal-burning power stations with carbon capture and sequestration) currently available until the year 2020 or 2025. If we’re still here by then; ref Dec 21 2012.

Either way, advocates of ‘clean coal’ such as Osama Bin Bama and his bunch of merry men promote this ugly term without discourse, for the simple purpose of feeding his flock BS when it comes to offering promises of a cleaner and alternative energy future for his loyal voters. The real truth is that the process of ‘clean coal’ is simply the process of transferring one waste stream to another, and hiding the truth… Coal is a dirty fuel. Period.

So the question we must ask ourselves is… ‘Can we really expect to live in ‘carbon-free’ world any time soon? The answer unfortunately is rather disappointing. It seems our political representatives aren’t too quick on the uptake. Within a corpocracy world, we have little chance of being offered anything with the term ‘free’ in it.

Who is responsible and Why…

In July 2008 the price of crude oil reached record highs of over US$140 per barrel. Now we see crude oil at $35 per barrel. Have these changes in prices been reflected to the market. Have they hell. When the price of oil goes up, petrol prices rise sharply. It’s funny that when we see oil go down, we see a sluggish reduction in petrol prices. Is this not proof enough that the oligarchs and the corporations control the way we consume our energy needs.

It is not the politicians who run this world, but the corporations and businesses. We have been turned into a society of gluttonous, materialistic consumers under the guise of a Freudian regime set up in the 1920′s. See Century of Self – a must watch documentary.

We won’t see a carbon-free renewable energy world until such methods of money and control have been removed from society all together.

It is time the people stood up to these bully boys and said, enough is enough.

Free Energy Friday – The Baghdad Battery

Iraq may seem the central focus regarding the farcical ‘war on terror’ meme. However, Iraq happens to be one of the oldest cultures in the world. It is a place rich in heritage, the Garden of Eden and the Tower of Babel are said to have been sited in this ancient land. Not to mention ancient Mesopotamia (pre-Iraq) also gave us writing and the wheel.

There is however another quite remarkable device which dates back over 2,000 years; the Baghdad Battery. This device may have been used as a galvanic cell, perhaps used for electroplating objects and garnishing them with a gold or silver layer. The amazing part, if the battery was used for this purpose then it pre-dates Alessandro Volta’s 1800 invention of the electrochemical cell by more than a millennium.

Wilhelm Konig, the German archaeologist who discovered the Baghdad Battery in 1938 postulated that the discovery had to have been a battery. The strange fact of the matter is that during 200BC, in the Parthian era, the skilled warriors were not noted for their scientific achievements. Herein lies the question… How could ancient Persian science have grasped the principles of electricity and arrived at this knowledge?

Even though this artefact is known as the Baghdad Battery, no-one is sure what they were actually used for. Replicas of the battery can produce voltages from 0.8 to 2.0 volts. Similar in fact to the voltage produced if you were to stick a nail into the side of a tree.

Some suggested applications of the Baghdad battery include: -

Electroplating

- This suggestion seems to be the most popular, this is the process used to create the most evil invention of mankind; money.

Magic Rituals and Pranks

- The battery would be attached to a statue, when people came to worship their God/s, if they were to touch the statue they would receive a small electrical shock via the Baghdad battery.

Is this yet another ‘forgotten’ suppressed technology which has been brushed under the passage of time’s carpets!

Free Energy Friday – The Soil Lamp which Runs on Mud

As part of the ‘Free Energy Friday’ series of posts, here is a fantastic concept brought to you by Marieke Staps; The Soil Lamp.

The idea is simple, the lamp has copper strips coming out of the bottom of it and it uses the soil as an electrolyte to power the LED light. All that is required in order to light your humble dwellings is the occasional sprinkling of water on the mud to keep the light shining bright.

When technologies such as this are brought to the public arena, one cannot help but think of the implications of introducing such a product into third world countries, where electricity is practically non-existent. The Soil Lamp reminds me of devices such as the Baghdad battery, potato batteries, and even electricity from trees.

The question one has to ask is… Why aren’t these concepts being aggressively researched to test for the viability of mass production and helping to promote and pave a new way forward for alternative energy technologies?

Could the Soil Lamp be the first sign for a way of creating a sustainable ‘clean’ source of electricity!

Free Energy. The Secrets of Free Energy – Part One

In a previous post entitled; Alternative (Free) Energy, not so absurd after all I touched on the subject of how little we know about subjects such as Zero Point Energy and Gravity, and how they play a part in the concept of free energy.

Very little is known about the weakest of the four forces – Gravity, which supposedly bonds our Universe together. The three forces which far outweigh gravity are electromagnetism, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force.

Here is a paper, written in 1911 by Charles Brush entitled ‘The Kinetic Theory of Gravitation‘. This paper goes some way towards proving the existence of an unlimited sea of energy that we float in and explains how we can tap into this ‘sea of free energy‘.

The paper discusses how gravity is actually a ‘push’ force, and not a pull force. It is merely a matter of understanding how to ‘frequency shift’ this unlimited energy to collect it and to harness this abundance of ‘free energy‘ which surrounds us all.

The significance of Brushes paper is in the fact that it clearly states that through standard Newtonian physics, the gravitational force between the sun and the earth is so strong that to hold the earth in rotational balance around the sun the force required would be so great as to require a steel cable the diameter of the earth!

If gravity is a pull and that much force is required how can the earth not ‘rip itself apart in the direction of gravitational force?’ The answer is simple IT CANNOT!

It is truly amazing to think of all the wonderful things we have discovered that are being suppressed. It is sad that oil is propped up on this pedestal when it could be phased out completely in 5 years and replaced with ‘free energy‘ devices which tap into this ’sea of energy’ otherwise known as Zero Point Energy.

Another event which happened around the same time as when this paper was published was the Wardenclyffe tower – Tesla’s free electricity device which J.P. Morgan destroyed for the simple reason that he could see no commercial value by offering people free wireless electricity, so he burned it down.

The sad truth is that the oil and banking oligarchs want to control who has energy and who doesn’t, and they want their artificial construct, money, to be the singular source for anyone to have anything. Have we really been dumbed down as a society to think that by having more money than your fellow citizen makes you a better person!, who deserves more, has more, and can be more? Perhaps this truly is the beginning of a barcode society.

If this is so, then the plight of humanity is surely inevitable. Words such as altruism, love, and compassion will mean nothing if they can’t be paid for, or bartered with.

To change the world for the better, we must first educate ourselves. We must find and seek the real truth, and the hidden agendas of the New World Order for ourselves.Only then can we embrace a world where energy is no longer an issue, and free energy will seem as commonplace as free drinking water.

Unfortunately such devices and technologies are swept under the energy carpets as we continue to let the few dictate to the many how we should live our lives.

The raging debate on whether ‘free energy devices’ exist or not, or whether we should even be calling them “free energy devices” continues unabated.

I’d like to bring such matters to the attention of my readers. The aim is to share ideas, provoke debate, and above all make people question the very fabric of the world in which they live. In particular, question why we still rely on fossil fuels when there are a plethora of sustainable, alternative and dare I say, free energy devices out there.

We live in a world full of actualities, and known truths. The irony is the fact that we base most of our understanding on things we know very little about. Free energy and gravity are two such unknown truths. They wait in the shadows patiently until they can hide no longer. It is up to us to set them free!

The term perpetual motion, refers to movement that goes on forever. However, perpetual motion usually refers to a device or system that delivers more energy than was put into it. Such a device or system would be in violation of the law of conservation of energy.

Using the term “free energy” does not mean creating energy out of nothing, but rather tapping into the enormous stores of energy that the Universe contains. This sea of energy is called Zero Point Energy.

The debate on ‘free energy devices’ has been raging since the days of the great Nikola Tesla and beyond. As time goes by, such concepts are suppressed, ridiculed, and generally not even given the time of day. Believers of such technologies are left feeling alone, dismayed, and worse of all; submissive to the fact – what’s the point!

Free energy systems such as cold electricity, Tesla’s radiant energy (cosmic ray) device, the Joe Cell device, wireless electricity, and a whole raft of other devices are plentiful and will be discussed in more detail in subsequent posts.

The information, be it hard to find, is out there. It is up to you, the reader to get involved and let the oil and banking oligarchs know that their time is running out. We, the little people are onto them. It won’t be long before the people stand up, in unison, and say enough is enough. We demand the truth.

With truth comes independence, with independence comes a new dawning, and ultimately a new way of living.
