Ex MI5 head raps UK Government about Police State

Police state

Talk of a global police state is becoming ever more prevalent in the news. The discussion about the UK becoming a police state is no longer conspiracy, but fact.

In the news today the former head of MI5 Dame Stella Rimington has claimed that the Government has exploited people’s fear of terrorism to restrict civil liberties.

She said ministers risk handing a victory to terrorists by making people “live in fear and in a police state”.

“Since I have retired I feel more at liberty to be against certain decisions of the Government, especially the attempt to pass laws which interfere with people’s privacy.” Dame Stella said in an interview with a Spanish newspaper.

“It would be better that the Government recognised that there are risks, rather than frightening people in order to be able to pass laws which restrict civil liberties, precisely one of the objects of terrorism: that we live in fear and under a police state,” she said.

But the Home Office said the Government was clear that where surveillance impacts on privacy “it should only be used where it is necessary”.

Other significant agendas our beloved Government have in store for us include: -

- Private firms to track all email and calls in the UK.
(Guardian article – police state link)
- UK Government are planning to monitor all website traffic.
(Big Brother Link)

Future implications of a police state which we can all look forward to include: -

- Barcode society
- Compulsory ID Cards
- RFID Microchip Implants for Humans
- Compulsory military service for 18-25′s in the USA

It seems that the dumbed-down sheeple society are walking blindly into the abyss without a care in the world. They tend to forget that: -

Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

If you wish the sympathy of the broad masses, you must tell them the crudest and most stupid things. – Adolf Hitler

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves. – Thomas Jefferson

Soon we will be faced with a choice – are you a red pill or blue pill person. Are you in the system or out?

What are your thoughts?

The one question no one ever asked Stella was WHY?
    Why are they doing it?
I watched the BBC interviewing her and they never asked why she thought they
    would be doing it.

Why are they doing it? – exactly, it’s all part of the game.

Every now and then the truth tries to seep its way out into the public arena, only to quickly dismissed as codswallop, or conspiracy drivel.

Truth is, our beloved governments continue with their campaign of bringing to fruition a police state, behind closed doors.

To be honest, the sheeple don’t really care. The responses I get off people used to upset me when I talked of such matters, now I don’t really give two shits what they think. It’s their loss not mine.

I now need to focus my energies on 2012, instead of trying to educate the borg.

To carry on to the next stage then….

Why do they want a police state?

    @Mark

    Excellent question Mark.

A police state would achieve several objectives: -

    - Ultimate control of the masses (through dog tagging; RFID, implants, barcode society)
    - Freedom to action and pass any laws they choose (Bush – Executive Order)
    - Suppression of information (there are some things our governments don’t want you to know)

Here are some sites which you may find of interest: -

  6. Mark MNo Gravatar Says:

I still think that those items are classed as “what” they will/could do.

    Still looking for a “why?”

    Who has what to gain?

  7. SolReka | police stateNo Gravatar Says:

    @Mark
Perhaps I should quote the Rothschild family, it may help clear matters up: -

    * Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws. – Mayer Amschel Rothschild

    * We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent. – James Paul Warburg, quotes about Rothschild

To answer your question – Who has what to gain.
The cartels, the Rothschilds, the Illuminati bloodlines have a lot to gain. Now we could start talking about alien bloodlines, but now is not the time.

Mark did indeed ask an important question:

    WHY?

Perhaps this will give an answer, not THE answer but an answer:

The UK labour party always failed in 2 big areas. The economy and law and order. According to UK voters, these are 2 of the big 3 (the other being healthcare)
They are trying to match their new (well, up until recently) success with the economy, with a similar victory on law and order. They are trying to impliment this with typical left wing zeal, by trying to impliment a police state type ststem. Which, of course, reduces crime, but also reduces civil liberties. Best thing to do is to wait until the next election and see if the other lot change the tune……….

  9. SartoriNo Gravatar Says:

And if they don’t, I’ll be the first one in the queue to torch parliament!

  10. Joseph HunkinsNo Gravatar Says:

No, the UK is not a police state and this is an absurd suggestion at almost every level. One of the massive mistakes “progressives” are making now is to make wild accusations against moderate governments in the west while they completely ignore the massive rights abuses – most importantly food and health care – in the developing world.

North Korea and Myanmar really are police states, and although that fact doesn’t mean we should ignore the rights abuses we see in the USA and UK and other democracies it is imperative that the naively critical ranting class realizes that standards in most of the Western democracies are totally different and vastly superior to what they would be in a police state. The inane ranting of the left about the exception of Govt abusing rights in the UK and USA is comparable to that from the right wing nutjobs here in USA saying Obama is a “communist”. Stop the stupid nonsense folks, we have a world to fix.

    Joseph

Many thanks for your valuable input on the debate; ”police states’.

I agree that you cannot compare the West to dictatorial countries like North Korea and Mynmar… yet. The vast oceans of difference between the West and the East are eroding on a daily basis.

The UK, although it may not quite be a police state just yet, is certainly heading that way. You just need to look at the facts; all emails in the UK are now ‘monitored’, soon all website traffic in the UK will also be tracked and monitored. Then we have talk of ID cards, and national databases being implemented. And it’s all in the name of fighting crime, and terrorism. Yeah right.

Plueaze, have you ever heard such nonsense. If anyone thinks such measures will help make the world a safer place, they had better get their head examined.

Your statement ‘The UK is not a police state and this is an absurd suggestion at almost every leve’ is in a word wrong.

The idea of a police state, is when you cannot enter a public building without proper authentication, you cannot walk the streets without having to carry your national ID card, and you are considered a terrorist for having opinions which contradict government policy.

These things will happen, you mark my words. We will have a RFID barcode society. It just requires a dumbed down complacent sheeple society in order for such measures to be implemented. And a dumbed down sheeple society is exactly what’s happening. It’s cool to be thick is the mantra of the masses.

Governments should fear its’ people, not people fear their governments.

A POLICE STATE OCCURS WHEN PEOPLE’S CIVIL LIBERTIES ARE LOST, TO THE POINT THEY ARE NO LONGER CITIZENS BUT MERE COGS IN THE WHEELWORK OF THE ‘SYSTEM’.

Its not the Government that is corrupt, power hungry, its the CITIZENS who chose the government.

What can one expect when people have only greed in their mind? they all want free money and they get a government which grows too much in power.

Watch the Aaron Russo Interview on youtube.

He talks about Rockefeller openly wanting to chip America and much more.
Britain is moving towards becoming a Police State. What I find amusing is how
people cannot see it. The argument that things are not so bad here as N.Korea
is a red herring. It does not refute the original proposition; the Police State will
be less strong-arm, more information surveillanced based here but most
importantly it is emerging. If Rimmington is saying this, we shou;ld sit up and
    listen.

  15. bandersonNo Gravatar Says:

    Good article,

While its not comparable with the developing world, we don’t live in a democracy,
Tax is used as a deterrent to everything, its also one rule for the peole and one for the politicians, you don’t see an mp standing outside smoking a cigarrette do you?
Plus a quick note on developing countries, the west are responsible for much of this poverty,
We can’t really throw stones, when we created, or contributed to the problems over there

    The following steps will deem you an “extremist”;

    • They advocate a caliphate, a pan-Islamic state encompassing many countries.
    • They promote Sharia law.
    • They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military.
    • They argue that Islam bans homosexuality and that it is a sin against Allah.
    • They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.

So 90% of British Muslims may soon be labeled “extremists”.

I personally can’t understand the angle, and with politics there is always an angle. Are they going for the right wing vote? Labour won’t get that, the conservatives might. Why would you want to alienate a traditional labour vote bank?

All this will serve to achieve, is clog up security services databases with false data, allowing real terrorists to slip under the net.

  17. SolReka | Solar Power ProductsNo Gravatar Says:

The last point – They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.

This scares me the most. It seems that any mention of disputing the needless deaths of human beings can be construed as being labelled as a terrorist.

Welcome to the police state people.

You are right,They are not able to condemn the killing of british soldiers in Iraq is very ironical as well. That is what they did!

While I am not in complete agreement with what I’m hearing, it does seem reasonable to assume that things are going to be tightened up over time. I rather prefer what I am reading about in the stats http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/may/11/money-talks-against-terrorism/ where cities are goign out of their way to make sure no funds are making thier way into these criminals hands. There is only so much we can really do without restricitng rights and sending soldiers to enemy territories.

    Well said Joseph.
When the borg generation comes to fruition, we really will be jacked into the matrix; ref RFID technology, implants, compulsory ID, Superstates, and one world government and power.
We are indeed coming to an age where the choice has to be made; do you want to be an Elois or a Morlock so the speak.
The dichotomy of society is almost upon us. The question is which pill will people swallow, the red one or the blue.
See you on the other side Joseph.
    Namaste.
