Will the Hadron Collider discover the God Particle (Higgs Boson) and give us a more thorough understanding of gravity? The Hadron Collider will be switched on in May 2008.
First we must ask - What is gravity and why is it so weak? - The weakest of the four elemental forces of the Universe. Could other Universes (branes) or extra dimensions affect the gravitational waves, which would explain its weakness?
Are we really stuck in a 3D Universe! If there more than 3 dimensions, could this explain why gravity is so weak? Quantum mechanics and the Hadron Collider certainly think so.
Extra dimensions could be considered to be tiny curled up, minuscule toroids which surround us. The holy grail is within reach, if string theory is correct then gravity is as strong as all the other forces in our Universe, it just feels weak because it’s having to fight its way through extra dimensions.
Particles from super symmetry do exist; we have unified 3 of the 4 forces of nature, only gravity remains the unknown constant.
The Hadron Collider(LHC) will offer us the evidence for how the Universe began. The LHC fires subatomic particles in opposite directions around a 16 mile tunnel. Particles hit each other at speeds approaching the speed of light. The energies involved replicate the conditions that were around in the early Universe. To discover what gravity was like at the exact moment of the big bang.
Trying to unify gravity with the other forces of nature would involve an experiment with incredibly high amounts of energy. That would be far beyond the capacity of any machine we have built. But if string theory is correct, help might be at hand from extra dimensions.
Amazingly there is a possibility that we will see extra dimensions at CERN’s LHC. The evidence for that would be tiny exploding black holes as Prof Stephen Hawkings predicted.
Black holes can be any size; gravity could be seeping into our world through extra dimensions, like water seeping through a shower head. If this is the case then very exciting things might happen at CERN.
In essence, it will take just two of these particles (the God particle) to collide head on in order to create a black hole… right here on Earth.

Some of the smartest people in the world, are forgetting one small detail…… this wonderfully elaborate “test” to see how the universe was created still leaves the blank void of an answer to HOW the matter that caused the so-called “big-bang THEORY” came to be. However interesting as it may seem that somehow scientists involved in this study will know as fact that whatever occurs during this project is the instant re-play of creation, is nothing more than overactive imaginations and childhood wonders. The TRUTH of the matter is that NO ONE knows, nor will ever know, how the universe was created. Why are we stretching our minds for billion dollar tests based on theories, which will “do” nothing for the crisis our earth and the people who are living in it today? Instead of focusing our funds, intelligence, and lives toward a cause to prove to someone (?) that we have no meaning, why should we not be putting out efforts toward obvious attentions? Just accept God for who HE is and thank him that he is allowing you to be here this moment.

And I’m sorry, but the “big-bang-theory”, is only just that….. a theory. As entertaining as it may seem that someone has the knowledge of the equations of time itself, it just isn’t plausible. You cannot realistically say that a few worldly educated persons(or anyone else for that matter) know with fact how the universe came to be. There is no composite understanding of black holes or much of anything else outside our solar system. There are plenty of assumptions and ideas, but no one can say with honesty that they fully understand what a black hole is and how they are formed, etc… I could go on for days with this subject, but I’ll save you the annoyance. If you want the truth of life itself, including a better understanding of the universe, please read the Holy Bible. As saturated and disperse as Christianity has become over the past 50 years, there are undeniable truths that cannot be dismissed. However upsetting to me it is, the truth is that our morals and standards of living, will continue to diminish as worldy clutter continues to obstruct our eyes away from the truth. More theories will appear based off false and misleading textbooks that will be replaced by more false information. And the result will be individuals who base life itself on sci-fi movies. This is a good place to remind you now, that NO check is valid, no document legal, no receipt accepted WITHOUT the admission (the date) of the greatest historical event in human history, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. So with that truth comes another. If we accept Jesus, then we accept the Bible. And THAT is the ONLY book here on this earth you will find any morsel of truth. Please stop with the obsurdness of trying to locate the so-called “God Particle”. If you haven’t seen HIM yet (LOOK AROUND!) then your attempts are futile. God Bless you all.

wow im a christian but you courtney taylor are going to far… are you just going to website and posting that over and over again? n obody here said they were wise than god.. nobody here said that god DIDN’T create the universe… i personally believe big bang could have happened, but it was done by god… all that matter came into existence instantly (like in big bang AND in the bible) when god chose it to be…. quit going out and hating on people for researching the way the universe works.. stupid girl

The present worldwide scenario to blaspheme God the Creator is making giant strides and to discredit anyone who believes in the Scriptures is paramount. The backdrop of all this that there is a psuedo fake church and the real “church” is made up of faithful individuals who abide by love and righteousness.

This particle collider experiment is sick and those that think it a joke are sick. The scientists are terrorists in threatening us all with mass destruction. TNo matter how remotely unlikely, the scientists have no right to hold a veto over my existence, the lives of my children, life on earth in all its wonderous beauty and complexity. They have no right to threaten the people of Earth with mega death.
The experiment has to be stopped at all costs. No data or knowledge is worth this kind of risk. Science has prooved it has reached its limitation. People were quite happy in the past with simple pleasures. No one needs this science or data. we have too much already and it doesn’t make people any happier.
Humans need to return to simple and sustainable living and not be threatened by a minority of freaks with over sized brains and no appreciation of Nature and everyday life.Things like mountains, hiking, fishing, love, family, birds, insects, flowers or the sunrise.
Everyone needs to march on this facility to save the world!

Mass is a hole in spacetime.
Gravity is the acceleration of spacetime toward that low pressure called mass.
The flow of space and time carries me weightless towards center of mass. Yet I feel force of 1 G by inertia. The electromagnetic force of me and chair and earth as matter easily holds the mass of me against the current of spacetime through earth. Yet even still, I do not feel the flow of space or time toward sun or galaxy center or even greatest attractor.
Force is acceleration.
Mass is gravity.
Energy is levity.
Matter is quantum gravity balanced and held by quantum energy.
